OUR VISION

Our vision has its foundation in the life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His reason was to take the Gospel of salvation to as many who would receive Him. In Acts 18:9 (NLT), “One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, ‘Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent!’”

Like Paul we will not be afraid or silent; our vision is to take the Gospel to as many as we can, just as the Lord commanded.

WHAT WE DO

Arbuckle Christian & Missionary Alliance Church is a spiritually growing church body that is dedicating itself to growth in the knowledge of the Son of God. The reason for this is so we are a reflection of the Lord Jesus Christ, to all He brings into our lives.  What we do is teach and preach the truth of the Gospel.

Our commitment and faith is in the inspired Word of God according to II Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

OUR COMMUNITY

Our community is a small town named Arbuckle. Fields of corn and country settings surround it. It is a quiet place with no streetlights or busy streets.  At night you can look up at God’s universe and see the stars of our galaxy that reach across the night sky.  It is a location that has been set aside to worship God our Creator.

PASTOR DOUGLAS BYRNE

“Until He Comes” is our mission statement as a pastor and wife whom have been called by The Lord to shepherd, to preach and teach the unchangeable word of God.

Hi my name is Rev. Douglas Byrne and along with my wife Cindy of 45 years; we are the pastor and wife of Arbuckle Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) Church.

Prior to this calling, I served as a police officer on the City of Erie Police Department in Erie, Pa. My wife was a registered nurse in several local hospitals and school districts. Together we served our community, faithfully for over 30 years.

We have two wonderful children Angela and Maxwell, both who received Jesus Christ as their savior as children. Angela is married to Xavier, a wonderful Christian man and they live in Miami, Florida where our two teenage step grandchildren Zach and Hannah also live. Our son is married to Leah, a wonderful Christian woman and they live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, along with our beautiful grandchildren, Ronan, Audrey and a baby on the way.

During our time as police officer and nurse, the Lord began His work in us to become a pastor and a pastor’s wife. The Lord was preparing us both to be shepherds of a church body. The time of preparation was a time of molding and shaping us into the people He desired us to be as Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) states, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

It was during this time I enrolled in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Ministerial Study program, my wife accompanied me and participated in all the training. After completion, the Lord opened the way for us to pastor Arbuckle Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. But the Lord was not done, my studies continued, and once completed I was then ordained through the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination.

What needs to be said is this, if it was not for the Lord, and the wife He gave me, I would not be where I am today, I would not be the person He needed me to be. But this journey was about two of us, not just me. The one verse that kept me going was Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT), which is again stated in Hebrews 13:5 (NLT). “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
